Paris or MGM Grand - where would you recommend?

I'm trying to decide which hotel to stay at while in Vegas in November this year.

Which would you choose? Paris or MGM?Paris or MGM Grand - where would you recommend?
It is a matter of person taste. The Paris is very nice and well situated but has a rather disappointing pool. The MGM is massive and has a very nice pool. What you must consider and few who have never experienced it can imagine, is the size of the the MGM Grand. Once you check in you will realize that you have a long walk just to get to your room. When you are ready to go out and explore the Strip you have another long walk just to get to the front door. The West wing rooms are small, the Grand Tower rooms are larger. All are very nice and the pool is, great.

So, if the pool is an important part of your vacation, MGM. If you do not like to walk, Paris. The MGM and Paris are both served by the Monorail but it is only useful to move from one end of the Strip to the other. You see, it runs behind the hotels and it is a long walk just to get to the Monorail station. It does not pay to make a short hop in it. I included link to a map that shows you the stops.

I gave you a few other helpful links, too.

Good Luck!

Definitely MGM Grand. The rooms are nice and the pools with the lazy river is the place to be.

Paris is too crowded and over rated. Book rooms at the MGM Grand through their website and get the best deals. The always have internet specials. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/special.p鈥?/a>Paris or MGM Grand - where would you recommend?
I think Paris is a lot cheaper than MGM Grand, but MGM Grand is cooler. I liked Paris a lot, but I got bored in there after awhile. MGM Grand is huge and has a bunch of stuff to do, lots of shows, closer to other cool casinos. Plus there are real live lions in there. So I guess my point is, if you have the money, I'd say MGM
I am not a big fan of either. They are not bad, I just MGM too big and confusing, and paris to be a little overpriced and the pool kinda stinks.

But it kinda depends what you are looking for. Pool scene and younger crowd? MGM. Better location and nicer rooms? Paris.
Paris would be the best choice. It has a great location and the rooms are better. The MGM is so large that it takes forever just to get to and from your room to the strip. Neither would be a bad choice.
Hands up for MGM, it is cooler and it has very nice rooms IMO. You can also get great room specials for this hotel. Try http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com/categ鈥?/a> and you will find the latest MGM Grand promotion code offers.
I've been to Las Vegas twice and both times I stayed at the MGM. It's definitely a nice hotel and not as smokey as other hotels are. The beds are really comfortable and there are several starbucks in mgm (i suggest you go to all three, one of them are far better than the other two by taste [they put the perfect amount of everything where the others tasted too strong or something])

There is a lion exhibit in the hotel as well which is pretty cool to check out as well. there are usually two lions visible.
I think they are both a little overpriced for what they offer.

Paris is in a better location on the strip. It's central, Miracle Mile at Planet Hollywood is right next door, and some of the rooms at Paris have views of the Bellagio fountains.

MGM Grand has a better atmosphere. It's less stuffy and the decor is less old fashioned. It's a little more modern and the rooms are nicer.

I don't think you should worry about the pool scene because if you are going in November, chances are you won't be able to swim. Not sure about these hotels, but some hotels close the pools starting in November.

My favorite hotel on the strip is the Mirage. It's also in a good location, the rooms are newly renovated, modern, and huge, and I think you can get a better price there than Paris or MGM Grand. For the record, it has a great pool too if you are able to use it.
Paris is way nicer. The MGM is older and the rooms are not even on the same level as the Paris.
I would with Paris if it was just me and my wife/girlfriend, if i have kids then the MGM would be the better choice.
MGM is a much bette hotel overall.
It kind of depends-

If you are going with your bf or husband I'd go to Paris. It's nice and it's romantic. Plus it's in the middle of the strip.

If you aren't go MGM. It's really nice and has a cool lion exhibit inside. The only bad thing is it's at one end of the strip.
Paris as it is more centrally located. Right next to Bellagio and Planet Hollywood.

MGM is too...grand. You can get lost in the place.
