Yes, security, hallway cameras, when they catch you, they will toss you out after charging you with theft and charging your account for the extra guests. Don't do it.
When I was there a few years ago no, luxor did not, treasure island did not either or the stratosphere. But I stayed at Excalibur recently and yes. If hotels do have security guards checking room keys they will do it by the elevators. All you have to do is flash your key and they will nod you through. Sometimes the security guards are not even paying 100% attention. The security guards do not give you the 3rd degree unless you give them reason too. I would not suggest showing one key for 10 people. I would say 1 key for 4 people. I have never seen security guards roam the hallways or go up to someone to ask for a key.
I have registered for 2 people when actually there was 5 staying in the room a few times with friends. And 1 key worked for all of us.
Even when I did not have a key and I wanted to go up to my parents room while they were visiting Vegas, all I had to tell the security is what room I was visiting and they called the room and my parents gave the security guards the okay for them to let me up.
The key checking is only for the security of the guests I don't think It is to take count of how many people are registered in a room.Does the mgm grand signiture hotel have gaurds that check for room keys and that you are a guest of the hotel?
You are watched at all times in public places on cameras. Bringing a few people in the room (3 or 4) is probably no big deal. But, if you plan to have a bunch of people to party this is not the hotel for it. It caters to people who want some class and quiet away from the strip. Do your partying on the strip.
No, but don't pack your room full of people and cause a major commotion. I recently went, and we got a room for two, but had three people in there. We even sat in the lobby, with our stuff, while one of us went to check in. Any hotel on the Strip has so many people going in and out, they're not going to single you out.
How many extra people are you talking?
No, that would be a little intimidating to customers. Pack that room full of people and put do not disturb sign on door. that way house keeping Will not know and rat you out. When you need more towels just call front desk and meet the lady at door :)
As long as you dont get loud enough for people to start complaining you should be ok.
