For any recent Las Vegas visitors - How many $5 tables does the MGM Grand have?

We gamble a lot, but are not high rollers by any stretch. We will play $10 tables, but it's nice to know we can drop to $5 if necessary. For any recent Las Vegas visitors - How many $5 tables does the MGM Grand have?
I would guess only one or two, if you're lucky. If it's busy, you might even have to wait for these tables. But it does vary throughout the day. If you're going on a slow weekday keep your eye out late at night. A lot of casinos will lower their minimums after Midnight if they're slow.

You might be better off headed downtown to Fremont Street! $5 is the norm down there, and certain places (Fitzgerald's, for example) even have $2 tables.

Another option is if you have a car, head West on Tropicana from the MGM to find a casino called The Orleans. $5 is definitely the norm there, and the free drinks will flow!
It all depends on the time of day and day of week. Early in the day, you will see lower limit tables as well as during the week.

Weekend afternoons and mornings will offer the lower limits at virtually all strip casinos.

I have not done and extensive study but I have occasionally seen $5 tables in MGM but only in the afternoon. Not very many of them, though. By far $10 is the norm.

Good luck!
