Hello we're going to Vegas in September and staying at the MGM Grand and for sure want a cabana. Here are some questions:)
Is there a minimum you have to spend?
Can you reserve a specific one?
Can you bring in your own food/beer??
Is there unlimited non-alcoholic drinks?
Thanks and any other tidbits would be great!Has anyone rented a cabana at the MGM Grand?
There's 2 different scenarios in which you can get a cabana at MGM. One is at their regular pool, there would be no minimum. The second is a cabana at their pool party (Wet Republic) which is for ages 21+.. there will be a minimum.
Yes, you can reserve a specific one. The better the location the more it'll cost/the bigger the minimum. Just make sure the host/hotel knows you want to reserve a specific one. If you don't tell them they'll just assign you one.
No outside food or drinks allowed.
If you're there for a normal day at the normal pool and are just paying a flat fee you have to pay for every drink. If you have a minimum amount you have to spend on alcohol, that will generally include unlimited mixers and water.
Whatever or wherever you decide to go make sure you double check with your host on what is and is not included. I've seen many fights, cries, arguments and shocked people (shocked by the bill) because people didn't know what was %26amp; wasn't included.
It's best to correspond by email with your host, that way you will have proof (printed copies) of what your host promised you. I've been around Vegas for a while and there are some shady people here. Always cover your own @ss. Hosts are notorious for trying/ripping people off.
Wet Republic is my favorite "pool party" in Vegas. It has such a better crowd than what Rehab at the Hard Rock gets. Enjoy.
I have no personal experience in this question but check out this link and hopefully it will help, from what I have read you can bring your own food and drinks seeing as they supply refrigerators

Nope, some people rent them though.
