I am looking for a room at the MGM or similar Vegas hotel that can accommodate me from a Thursday thru a Sunday. Unfortunately, I find the same rates everywhere which will set me back around $500 - $600 total for the weekend. Normally this wouldn't bother me too much, but I have heard from several friends who find rooms in the same hotels for $70 per night. What am i missing out on?How can i get a room @ the MGM Grand or similar hotel, over the weekend, for less than $150 - $200 per night?
I would consult hotwire.com or priceline.com to see what prices they can offer.
It's true that sometimes you can get a really low price during the week. But on the weekend, prices tend to inflate by two or three times the weekly rate.
I used the priceline "name your price" feature for my last trip. Just ask for a five-star hotel on the strip for a reasonable price and see what happens. Keep in mind that you will have no control over where you stay since it is automatically booked. So if staying South Strip or specifically at the MGM Grand is important then stick with their regular section.
Good Luck.
I'm not sure but I you should google it. Thats what I did and I found a very nice hotel that didn't cost that much. How can i get a room @ the MGM Grand or similar hotel, over the weekend, for less than $150 - $200 per night?
I know a way where you can go to Vegas and stay free at the Riviera . You have to a Timeshare tour they will put you up in a hotel in Vegas for free all you have to do is go on a tour and let them try to sell you a timeshare. If you go up on a Thursday you can leave on Sunday you can choose when you want to take your tour. Remember you do not have to buy a thing and your room is free. I have done it and it was well worth it.
Your friends are not telling you the truth. The weekend starts on Thursday in Las Vegas, that's why so many of the hotel rooms go up on price. You may want to try MGM's website; Harrah's website; or Coast Casinos website. I am sure that you may be able to find something less expensive.
well for one thing, maybe they are staying Sun. thu Thu, which is defferant, no weekend. Weekends cost more. Midweek day stays are cheaper. are they using a travel service? have you tried one?
