Is Freemont Street in Vegas within walking distance to the MGM Grand?

thanks. Is Freemont Street in Vegas within walking distance to the MGM Grand?
Fremont St. is in the downtown area, whereas the MGM Grand is on the south side of the strip, making it one of the furthest hotels from Fremont St. You don't want to walk that far. Either take public transportation or call a taxi.

I've walked in Las Vegas on the strip and the distances are greater than I realized. I had extremely sore feet and many blisters on my feet and could hardly walk in the Las Vegas airport when I left to go home. Save your feet all that pain and yourself the misery and don't walk.

If you're planning on going to the Fremont Street Experience Light and Sound Show, it's excellent and you'll enjoy it very much!
The ACE GOLD connects the two. The travel time is listed as 25 minutes at night or in the evening. During the day they have frequent service but no schedule as it depends on traffic . Price is $7 for a 24 hour pass, or $15 for a 72 hour pass.

Walking I would count on 20 minute miles, or about 100 minutes one way. It wouldn't be very pleasant. A reasonable thing to do would be to take the ACE bus from Fremont street ad get off at Fashion show mall (across the street from the Wynn and Encore). Walk down to MGM Grand and look at the casinos. Straight distance this is 2 miles, but you will probably walk more than double that distance as you wonder around the casinos. After you have toured the MGM you can catch the bus there and return to Fremont Street. If you still have energy take the tram to Mandalay Bay, and catch the bus across the street from Mandalay Bay. Since fewer people get on here, you have a better chance of getting a seat.Is Freemont Street in Vegas within walking distance to the MGM Grand?
No. MGM is clear down on Tropicana. Man It;s 5-6 miles anyway, Walk one way and plan to return in a cab.

No way would I walk it not because of the distance and its a good 5 mile walk but the area inbetween isnt the nicest and unless you knew where you were going you'd get lost. The bus is soo cheap you should stick to that. You could bus it from Freemont Street to the Statosphere get off and walk upto the MGM again thats got to be a mile or two walk but at least theres plenty to see on the strip.
No it's not. MGM Grand (which is a fabulous hotel, by the way) is at one side of the strip and Freemont Street is at least 5+ miles down past the strip, the wedding chapels, "shady areas". It's a fun place to go at night, though, with all the lights, but go by cab. It's faster %26amp; safer than walking. Have a good time in Vegas....! (and win)
Dude, DO NOT DO THAT WALK! It will kill your feet, plus you have to walk through bad parts going to the strip from fremont on South Las Vegas Blvd. I mean you can do it but way not THINK and catch the bus! They have a bus system for $2 bucks from fremont to MGM Grand, dont spend your day walking dude!
Try using Google Maps, just click Get Directions and type in the start and finish, it'll tell you the best walking route and how far/long it is.
If your young enough in 20's or 30's not 50's on up! Wear walking tennis cross training shoes! Not flip flops. You will pay for it in pain/blisters. And measure up your stupidity! don't forget sun protection! Bring bus fare. Most people give out around Rivierra or sooner.
No, your looking 5+ miles... and thats a way under guess

However the Las Vegas Blvd Bus goes all the way to Freemont and back, for like $1.50
it is way too far to walk, the city bus is the cheapest way to go. 3.00 each way,

7.00 for 24 hours and 15.00 for 3 days.
Very little in Vegas in walkable to anything else. But no, like someone else said, they are on opposite ends of town.
Not really it is about 5 miles in the dessert heat. You could get the Deuce from outside the front of MGM to Fremont St or the monorail from the back and then a bus
sure it is, just know that it'll take about and hour %26amp; 45 minutes
Yes it is
No it is not.
hell no
