Taxi from MGM grand to Walmart- how to get back to MGM?

I want to go to Walmart and Dollar tree down Tropicana Ave from the MGM grand and am not bringing a car. Since I plan to shop, I need a taxi to go there. How do I get back? Are there taxis just driving around that I can hail? How much would it cost 1 way including standard tip? Thanks! Should i arrange pickup from the hotel instead? Taxi's do not just drive around like in New York where you can hail. You can't even hail down taxi's on the Vegas strip.



Here is what you do. 20 minutes before you are done with your shopping, call a cab company and they will send a taxi for you. Here are the numbers to licensed Vegas taxi companies.

No sure how many miles from Walmart to MGM Grand but the base fare is $2.40 per mile but you should know that there is an initial charge of $3.30 when the meter starts to run.
