What hotel is better the MGM GRAND or the MIRAGE? We are going to Vegas this summer, and we cant choose?

We want a good casino, nice room, and nice and polite service. ThanksWhat hotel is better the MGM GRAND or the MIRAGE? We are going to Vegas this summer, and we cant choose?
Six of one and half a dozen of another. They are both good locations as they are in from the ends of the strip. With MGM at the southern part and Mirage the northern part. The main part of the strip ends at the Encore with anything further north too far to walk and enjoy. Mirage is not as big as MGM but they are both owned my MGM. No matter which you choose you will have fun. The MGM is on the monorail line and the Mirage is not. So the MGM will allow you to get from end to end quicker and easier.
This is my personal opinion but I have been to Vegas many times and have stayed in both hotels. First, if you have never been to Vegas you have to realize that, unless you have a car and know the back streets, you will do a lot of walking (or sitting in traffic). If you will have a car any hotel will do. If you are on foot, the Mirage is the hands down choice. It is almost at the Center of the Strip, right in the middle of all the action. The rooms are nice the pool is one of the best and there is a free tram that runs continuously between the Mirage and Treasure Island.



The MGM is huge! It is located at the Southern end of the Strip. You cannot belive the size of the place or how long the walk may be from the Strip to your room. The MGM was built in stages over the years so there are some rather old small rooms in the West Wing. Take the Grand Tower if you are given a choice. The rooms are bigger.



The Pool is very nice but due to the sheer size of the Hotel, the pool is usually very crowded. Finding a place to sit can be a chore.



So, in my opinion, the Mirage is the way to go if you are choosing between the two.

They are both nice.



For me.. its the Mirage. Better location, nicer rooms and pool. I found the MGM to be a little too big and confusing. The place feels like a maze. It was also insanely crowded.
I vote for Mirage; I stayed their once. It has a great location on the strip and an awesome pool.

MGM is too...well, Grand. More rooms than any other casino in Vegas.
Doesn't matter both hotel is a good choice. I would stay at Mirage since right the middle of the strip.
