Should I stay at the Mandalay Bay or MGM Grand?

So im going to vegas for my 21st bday and I have narrowed it down to these two hotels because they have the same exact rate going right now, but I cant decide between these two!



Here are a few facts to help you help me :)



Were a group of 5 girls mostly first timers and one second timer.



In going from december 19th-21st so I dont care about pools, however I plan on visiting the spa at which ever hotel.



We want be around mostly young people and we love hot clubs and trendy lounges. So any advice on these hotspots will be appreciated as well!



I was thinking Mandalay bay bc the rooms are nicer ( and the xtra bathroom space will help when everyone is getting ready to go out!) But also debating the MGM because of its location...

I would definitely choose Mandalay Bay. It is such a beautiful hotel with nice rooms. I've always wanted to stay there but have not wanted to pay over $100/night when I can stay right by it for $50/night. It's hard to believe that Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand have the same rates.

So if you could stay one more night, it would be free. The rates are $130 Friday, $130 Saturday, and $110 Sunday night. MGM Grand is literally across the street from Excalibur which is connected to Mandalay Bay and Luxor by a mall or by a free tram. So location really shouldn't be an issue in your decision. The current specials for MGM Grand are a little less than Mandalay Bay. For your 2-night stay (Fri-Sun), the total cost is $226 with a deposit of $107.91. MGM and Mandalay Bay both are great resorts teh sap at mandalay bay is nicer than mgm but they are both good, the bathrooms are much better at mandalay bay but you are right the location is better than Mandalay. The bars are both very good and the clubs at Luxor between Mandalay and MGM are very good now. I would go with MGM, you can even upgrade to a suite for only $20 with some of their offers. Mandalay Bay is also a great hotel but I think MGM has currently better offers and also it wins because of locations and also it has a monorail station inside the hotel which is great.

I stayed at Mandalay Bay this past December, and it was a fantastic hotel! The rooms were great for the price, and very wide open with flat screen plasma TV and a huge bathroom. The casino is good in there as well, and it is easy to catch the Tram down to Luxor or Excalibur, then jump right onto the strip.
I had a friend just stay in Mandalay bay, and she said her room was AMAZING... just like that. I want to stay there because it is SO nice, from the pictures i saw and her. But, if you want young people and clubs, MGM Grand is the place because of its location by Excalibur, new york new york.



I would recommend more MGM Grand ... that's just me.
Both hotels are fine so you cannot go wrong. Personally I would stay at MGM, but this is just my opinion. Before you book check the current hotel promotion codes on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com - this can save a lot of money.

Ok I know Vegas. I'm only 16, but I've been there a few times and no the strip fairly good. You do not want to stay at the MGM that place is too big! The Mandalay Bay is a lot nicer its a 5 star resort sure your not as close to the action, but you guys are young girls you guys can walk the strip, or take a cab. I think you would have more fun at the Mandalay Bay. If I were you I would also consider TI or Mirage are also good. Just plz don't stay at MGM that place is massive and the rooms are older and its only 3 or 4 stars while Mandalay Bay is 5. Good luck and enjoy your stay.
