Virgin Atlantic Flight To Vegas And Stay In MGM Grand?

Heyy All.

I had my holiday to Japan cancelled but my mum is taking me to Las Vegas. We are flying Virgin Atlantic B747-400, Is this a good plane with Virgin. Any comments on Odessey %26amp; Nova IFE systems would be good. Outbount Flight is VS043 and Inbound is VS044.

The second part of my question is, I am staying in the MGM Grand. What can be said about this hotel. Im off on the 27th of March from Gatwick.

Anyone want to tell me about Attractions in Las Vegas, im only going for 4 nights.

Thanks in Advance!!!!Virgin Atlantic Flight To Vegas And Stay In MGM Grand?
You will love both the plane and the hotel. Both are one of the largest. The Virgin plane is so huge. It lands and takes off once a day here in Vegas and you know it when we here the roar of it's giant engines.

The hotel is huge. You have no idea how big it is until you see it. Every thing is nice about it. The only bad thing is that it is so big that it seems to take forever just to walk to the strip. Just come and have fun .. it is a once in a lifetime experience that you will surely enjoy. Do not forget your camera with plenty of room for lots and lots of photos.
MGM Grand is the largest hotel in Vegas. They have several high end restaurants and shows plus you can see the decedents of the famous lion that roared at the beginning of the films. There is plenty to do in the city from the Roller Coaster right across the strip at the NYNY hotel, the aquarium at the Mandalay Bay, the white tigers and dolphin habitat at the Mirage, the canal gondolas at the Venetian, art galleries, shows, the Wax Museum, rides and if you are over 21 just about every game of chance imaginable. And thousands of shops from high end to touristy. Here's a couple of sites to check out.

And if you have time there are several companies offering day trips to both the Hoover dam or the Grand Canyon and several helicopter tour services.Virgin Atlantic Flight To Vegas And Stay In MGM Grand?
You did not say if you are 21 because you cannot gamble, drink, visit clubs, etc., unless 21.

There are lots to do and enjoy. MGM has a small, free lion exhibit. Other things you can do regardless of age on Strip

Game Works - by MGM (movie theatre too)

Kings Tournament dinner show - Excalibur

Shark Reef - Mandalay Bay

Scream rollercoaster - NYNY

Sigfried Roy Secret Garden (daytime) - Mirage

Volcano - Mirage

Forum Shops at Caesars includes 2 free statute shows

NASCAR ride - Sahara

101 stories high what a view and 3 rides - Stratosphere

Madame Tussauds (touch) Wax Museum - Venetian and Canal Shops and gondola rides

Fashion Show Mall

Cirque Show - Mystere/TI or Love (Beattles tribute)/Mirage

Phantom of the Opera Musical- Venetian

Jersey Boys Musical/Play - Palazzo

Not on Strip but worth it to see:

Las Vegas Springs Preserve

Fremont Street Experience - downtown

Red Rock Canyon %26amp; Visitor Center

also near Bonnie Springs Old Nevada
The MGM is fantatsic you will enjoy it there very much.
Here is my run-down of MGM Grand:

Accommodations: MGM offers a variety of nice accommodations, ranging from regular hotel rooms and suites, to West Wing rooms, SKYLOFTS, and high roller suites at The Mansion. They also offer nice suites at The Signature at MGM Grand. Whatever way you choose to go, you will find exceptional service and a helpful staff throughout the resort.

Dining: The best restaurants at MGM are Joel Robuchon, CraftSteak, Nobhill, and Seablue.

Nightlife: The best club at MGM is Studio 54.

Entertainment: Cirque du Soleil "KA" You might also check their website at www.mgmgrand.com to see a listing of traveling shows that will be at their Garden Arena to see if something is there when you visit.

Gaming: MGM offers an array of gaming to suit anyone's desires.

Other Amenities: MGM has a very nice spa and a fantastic hair salon. They offer a few shops to visit and have a Las Vegas monorail station, so you can easily access the rest of the Strip. Finally, their Grand Pool Complex is absolutely fantastic, with a number of pools, hottubs, and a lazy river.

Depending on what you are feeling up to, here are my recommendations:

Eating - Wynn's Buffet, Bellagio's Buffet, Nine Steakhouse at Palms, or MIX at Mandalay Bay

Dessert - The Pastry Shop or the Crepe Shop at Paris, the Chocolate Shop at Wynn, the Chocolate Shop at Bellagio, or the Chocolate Shop at Caesars Palace

Shopping - Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace, Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian, and Fashion Show Mall

Shows - Cirque du Soleil "O" at Bellagio, Cirque du Soleil "Believe" at Luxor, or Blue Man Group at Venetian

Clubs: PURE at Caesars Palace, Rain or the Ghostbar at Palms, and Tao at Venetian

Other things - Madame Tussauds Wax Museum at Venetian, the Coke and M%26amp;M Stores, and the newly redone Volcano Eruption at Mirage

Sightseeing - Take a trip to the top of the Stratosphere or to the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris (try and time it on the hour so you can watch the bellagio fountains go off while you are at the top)

Spas - Canyon Ranch Spa at Venetian or Qua Baths and Spa at Caesars Palace

Las Vegas has unlimited opportunities for fun and excitement, so you might just want to explore the Strip and try anything that looks appealing as well.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy your trip!
