Will i make alot of money if i work @ the MGM grand in las vegas?

One benefit of working for a casino in Las Vegas is that when you work a standard 8 hour shift you will work only 7 hours and get 1 hour paid for lunch. The lunch is a huge buffet that is free including fresh cooked pancakes, chicken, pasta etc. Also you get free soda all day. The down side is that you will gain weight and they pay you a really low wage and treat you like dirt. Viva Las Vegas! Will i make alot of money if i work @ the MGM grand in las vegas?
No, if you work in the hotel section you will make the same as working any other hotel. Same for all of the other service jobs. If you want to be a dealer, like blackjack, you have to have experience or go to dealer's school. Then you start at the bottom, working the least desirable dealer shifts. The dealers who make the big bucks have worked there for years and they get to work the table where the high rollers are and get the big tips.
I know the people that open taxi doors for people make a lot of money!

When we were in Vegas, we stayed at Mandalay Bay. The guy opening taxi doors for us told he LIVES off of tips! He even said sometimes drunk people overtip. He claimed he makes $500 a day! Will i make alot of money if i work @ the MGM grand in las vegas?
As with any business, you will make what you are worth. If you have a skill that is desireable, you can make a decent living. If you are rolling into town as a HS dropout with no experience at all, they you will be paid as the entry level worker you are.

Vegas has a shortage of good construction people as well as people with technical skills. These jobs tend to pay more than compareable jobs elsewhere in the country.
