Cameras are not allowed in the casino areas or in the concert venues. However, if you're in the lion habitat or a restaurant, of course you can take a picture! They just don't want people taking pictures of the slot machines, game tables, etc. I have been to several concerts at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and they NEVER allow cameras. Some times you can sneak them in - just don't use your flash or you'll give yourself away!

why wouldnt they be - i have lived here 10 yrs and have many pictures - hundreds all over mgm
they probably are not, just only bring a real small (pocket) size one or cell camera....DO NOT USE IT IN ACTUAL CASINO if they catch you in the casino they will take it etc....if they catch you taking a pic at a show, if they care they just say "please stop"

If taking a picture of your friend next to a slot machine is fine. its when you start taking pictures of the pit area. Where Mr Smith may be holding the hand of someone who isnt Mrs Smith. Than they get touchy.
They will ask you to please not do that and watch you until you leave the area. But they wont take the camera unless you continue to do what they asked you not to
Depends on the concert ... usually still cameras are ok but video cams are not. I have taken many photos in the casino .. nothing ever said. Years ago it was not allowed ... but now .. haven't had a problem. I even asked cocktail waitresses to pose for me and they didn't have a problem ...
In the casino part I would say absolutely not (I couldn't take pictures in a coffee shop OUTSIDE a casino in New Mexico). But in concert venues, they might let you.
