Credit & debit cards at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas?

does anyone know if the MGM hotel accepts solo debit card?

I was there last year and they ask to swipe your credit or debit card although i was not paying, my auntie did. I've tried looking everywhere on their website and it has no mention of what cards they accept. I'm going back there in July 2009 for my honeymoon and do not want any nasty surprises, i.e (incorrect card)Credit %26amp; debit cards at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas?
Hey there!

Ok all of the hotels are going to accept VISA, Mastercard, and American Express

Where you would need to call and check would be for Discover Card, Diners Club, and Japanese Credit Bureu

Hope this helps!
LVloverNaNa is correct, also keep in mind that the hold they place on your debit card can extend past your check out date for several days tying up your money even longer. Some hotels will take a cash deposit for incidentals in lieu of a credit/debit card and return it upon your check out, at least they would a couple of years ago. The amount of the hold for incidentals varies from hotel to hotel, so if you still want to use your debit card for the hold check with the hotel first to see what their daily charge is so you'll be sure to have enough available.Credit %26amp; debit cards at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas?
If it is a Master Card or Visa debit card they will accept it. But if you use a debit card they will block your funds equal to the amount of your room plus additional amount for incidentals that might be charged to the room. (movies, room service, dining in the MGM restaurants). It doesn't matter if you plan on doing any room charges they still put a hold on that account. If possible use a charge card to check in then use your debit when you check out.

If you don't have a traditional charge card, get one for that purpose. Rental car companies do the same thing.
Your card needs a Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or Discover logo on it. BUT, you can't use a debit card when you check in, it has to be a credit card - but you can use the debit card when you check out. (Something to do with the holds they place for room charges, incidentals, etc.)
I believe they do but call them and make sure, you want that trip to be PERFECT!!, no ugly surprises or anything like that, make sure you also tell them that it is your honeymoon! they will leave you little things in your room and who know maybe a free upgrade too. =)
All hotels in Vegas accept major credit cards but I don't know about debit cards, seems likely they would. Call the MGM and ask them. They have a toll free number and ask for registration who will quickly give you the correct answer

im not 100% sure what a SOLO debit card is.. but they do accpet debit cards in General.

Be aware that they may authorize the charge and extra up front, so make sure to have plenty of extra money in your debit account.
I'm sure if it has the VISA, MasterCard, AmEx, or Discover they'll accept it. If your using a bank debit card unless it has one of those symbols I doubt they'll accept it.
I haven't heard of a solo debit card, but if it has a Visa or Mastercard logo they should accept it.
