MGM Grand: Grand Tower/ West Wing Room??

I am in the procress of booking a room at the MGM Grand. It is my first time staying at this hotel. What is best.. the Grand Tower Deluxe or the West Wing rooms?



Also, if you have any suggestions or comments about the hotel please let me know.

Don't stay in the West Wing rooms. I did for New Year's a couple of years ago when they were first built. They're cool if you like the "ultra mod" look. However, I didn't appreciate how small they were and the fact that as soon as you enter the room you are standing in the bathroom with it's somewhat see through doors to the shower and toilet. If anyone came to your room they could see your silhouette in the shower/toilet. Also, it took forever for us to get to our rooms.



That same weekend my mom was in the Grand Tower. In my opinion, her room was much nicer. Two beds, private bath, brighter, and bigger.

Firstly book directly with tehe hotel you get a better deal.



West Wing rooms are smaller and darker than the Grand Tower they only have one bed (if thats and issue) and they have no door to the bath room, theya re all refurbed and more contempery than Grand Tower. For me there is no choice Grand Tower every time, although the rooms have not been refurbed they are still nice and the beds and bedding are all news and these are the most comftabel beds I have slept on.

The west wing rooms are nice and newer. They have a nice television and a tv in the bathroom. But they are very small. Would be nice for one person.



If you going with someone else I would suggest the Grand tower. It is usually cheaper. It is a very nice room and much larger.

Grand Tower rooms are bigger but the West Wing rooms are more modern IMO (and also darker).



An advantage when I stayed there was that the way from the West Wing to the strip was shorter but next time I will stay in the Grand tower again because of the bigger size.

Grand tower rooms are bigger, and have better views, but the West Wing rooms are nicer.



Personally I much rather stay at Planet Hollywood. It is a much hotter hotel, and in a Central spot on the Strip.
